About Dr. Mark I. Cinnamon, MD

About Us | Dr. Mark I. Cinnamon, MD - Washington, D.C.

I am Dr. Mark I. Cinnamon, M.D. I received my undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University and my medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. Following medical school, I completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at George Washington University Hospital. Soon after my board eligibility in 1976, I began my solo internal medicine practice in Washington, D.C. It has always been my goal since that time to provide individualized care and maximum attention for each patient in my practice.

I have served on many committees and the Board of Trustees at the Washington Hospital Center. I am a member of The American College of Physicians and The American Diabetes Association, among other organizations. Washingtonian Magazine recognized me multiple times as one of the top internists in the Washington, D.C. area.

Establishing long-term relationships with my patients is one of my top priorities as a solo practitioner. I believe that in order to provide a patient with the care and attention he or she deserves, I must be available every step of the way, from taking your vital signs to personally discussing your test results. Though I am a general internist, I have special interest in cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, and cholesterol problems. I also am proficient in treating many psychological disorders, including depression and anxiety.

I act as an attending and consulting physician at the Washington Hospital Center, George Washington University Hospital and Sibley Memorial Hospital. I am licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Please contact me today with your medical problems and expect to receive genuine care based on extensive experience and knowledge.
